Photovoltaic power generation

We believe that the best energy production that we have today in our country is the photovoltaic power generation. They do not need to consume electricity so they are harmless to the environment. Nuclear power plants seem also harmless to the environment, but they cannot produce energy without producing radioactive waste. 
In these days in Japan, the more and more houses are having solar cells and Photovoltaic power generation productions according to the financial help by the Japanese government. 

If your solar cells made more energy than necessity, electric power companies will pay you to buy the energy. 

Photovoltaic power generation products are helping the people to save energy in many ways. Now you can see them in many places in Japan. For instance, stations, office buildings, and even cell　phones.

However, those cell　phones that have solar cells are still quite expensive. Though, once you get one of them, you do not need to charge your cell phones before you use as far as it is a sunny day.

It is true that these photovoltaic power generation products are very useful, but they still have some problems yet.

Whenever there is no sunlight, or when the sun is set, those products become totally useless on account of their weak point. They cannot storage any electricity at all. 

Also, the great expenses of these products are causing it difficult for many people to buy them. 

Currently in Japan, we depend our energy supply on thermal power generation the most. They are producing over 40 percent of all electric supplies. The thermal power generation needs huge amounts of petroleum, coal and natural gas to make electricity. We must stop using them.

Though these photovoltaic power generation products have many problems yet, we suppose that they have possibilities for much better improvements in the future.  

Obviously, we cannot expect a significant improvement at once. So instead, we would like to make some achievable plans. Recently, it actually became possible to recycle most of the parts that are used in photovoltaic power generation products according to its improvement in this subject.

For now, we think that for these products to be used in more and more places and people, it cannot be done without the supports of governments. Without them, we suppose that it will become totally unachievable. 

However, we believe that in the near future, these products will become freely available for a lot more people. If the recycling would be done more cheaply, and if these products would become much economical according to the improvement of science, they will be the best, cleanest, and cheapest energy production.
